Saturday Strolling

22 Jan

What to do on a Saturday?

Grab two cards from the London City Walks (which was a gift from Yuns and her sister)

Grab your coat and a partner in crime!

Yesterday we decided to “explore” the Notting Hill area and follow the route suggested/written on the card. We have been to Notting Hill and Portobello Market countless times but sometimes by exploring a different route, we thought we would be able to discover new and exciting shops or cafes….

…and that’s exactly what we did!

We passed by Hummingbird Bakery and as usual I couldn’t resist their red velvet cupcakes…

Recognise this? Hint : Hugh Grant, Julia Roberts

One of the things listed on the card was to try-out London’s best hot chocolate at Melt. This small boutique chocolatier has a very pretty interior, pictures wouldn’t do it justice.

London’s best hot chocolate. From the first sip you would know that you’re getting a pure no nonsense good quality chocolate. It is thick, slightly bitter and the taste lingers around in your mouth for awhile. It is absolutely rich, I doubt there was barely any milk in there. Definitely not for the faint-hearted, strictly for chocoholics.

I definitely had a good Saturday! Our next mission would be card #16, stay tuned for that!

So how did you spend your Saturday?
